Social Welfare Minister H.C. Mahadevappa and Cooperation Minister K.N. Rajanna, both loyalists of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Wednesday skipped the one-to-one meeting with AICC general secretary in charge of Karnataka Randeep Singh Surjewala.

Though some Ministers who are loyal to the Chief Minister met Mr. Surjewala, the two Ministers skipped the meeting and reportedly expressed their dissent over the AICC general secretary conducting such an exercise with Ministers and MLAs. Mr. Rajanna has made public his disappointment about MLAs meeting with the central leader, who is collecting opinions about the functioning of the Ministers.

On Wednesday, Forest and Environment Minister Eshwar Khadre, Home Minister G. Parameshwara, and Industries Minister M.B. Patil met Mr. Surjewala and informed him of the developments in their respective Ministries.

After completing discussions with Ministers, Mr. Surjewala held talks with Mr. Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC president D.K. Shivakumar on the appointment of directors to various government-owned boards and corporations.

The AICC general secretary also reportedly informed Mr. Siddaramaiah and Mr. Shivakumar about the complaints he had received from MLAs against Ministers.
