Maharashtra shocker: 6-year-old mauled by stray dogs; locals panic, demand action

A pack of stray dogs brutally bit a 6-year-old child, injuring him badly in Dombivli. The video of the incident went viral on social media, creating an atmosphere of fear among the children and parents in the area.The incident took place on Tuesday in the Mothagaon area of Dombivli. The child came out of the house to play, and as soon as he was on the road, a dog attacked him, causing him to fall. After this, 6 to 7 more dogs from the area surrounded the child and started biting him. Some of the dogs also began dragging the child.Local resident Bhushan Mhatre said that during this time, the child was crying loudly. Hearing this, a person living nearby came forward, attacked the dog with a stone, and saved the child by freeing him from the pack. Stones were also thrown at the dogs, causing them to run away. By then, the child was seriously injured and unable to stand.The entire incident was captured on the CCTV camera of a building in the locality.Following the incident, the residents complained to the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), demanding that the municipal corporation take action against the increasing nuisance of stray dogs.
