The Maharashtra State Examination Council (MSEC) has postponed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2025, which was scheduled to be held across the state on June 28 for around 1.82 lakh candidates, after a suspected question paper leak came to light.
In a public notice, the council said that despite implementing stringent security measures following the alleged irregularities in the NEET 2024 examination, confidential information received in the early hours of June 27 indicated that some individuals in Bhiwandi had information related to the TET question paper.
The council said immediate action was taken with the assistance of the Bhiwandi Police. During the investigation, some of the recovered questions were found to match those in the TET June 2025 examination paper.
Following the findings, a criminal case was registered at the Bhiwandi Police Station.
“Considering these circumstances, the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) scheduled for 28th June 2025 has been postponed until further notice. Examining any situation where there may be doubt regarding the integrity of the question paper would not be appropriate. Therefore, the examination has been postponed," the council said.
The Maharashtra State Examination Council said updated information regarding the rescheduled TET examination will be published on its official website.
