Maharashtra University of Health Sciences postpones all exams scheduled for July 9 due to heavy rainfall

Nashik: The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, on Wednesday postponed all university examinations scheduled for July 9 across the state due to widespread heavy rainfall disrupting transport and connectivity.The decision comes after the university received several representations highlighting difficulties faced by students in reaching their examination centres as heavy rain battered Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Nalasopara, the Konkan region, Pune and other parts of Maharashtra.In a release, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) said all examinations scheduled for Thursday have been deferred as a precautionary measure in view of the prevailing weather conditions.The university said the revised examination schedule for the postponed papers will be announced separately on its official website. MUHS has also directed deans and principals of all affiliated colleges to immediately inform students about the postponement to prevent confusion and avoid unnecessary travel.
