Mahila Morcha stages ‘cradle protest’ in Thrissur demanding resignation of Rahul Mamkootathil MLA

The Mahila Morcha Thrissur city district committee staged a symbolic protest with a cradle on Saturday demanding the resignation of Rahul Mamkootathil MLA over allegations of sexual misconduct.

The protest, held under the leadership of district president Sheetal Raja, was inaugurated by Mahila Morcha State president Navya Haridas.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Haridas said, “Despite several women filing complaints, the Congress leadership has taken no action against Mr. Mamkootathil. The Congress owes an apology to the women of Kerala.”

She added that an MLA accused of sexual misconduct has no moral right to continue in office. “Rahul Mamkootathil has insulted democracy itself. He must resign immediately,” Ms. Haridas said.
