A new Malkajgiri Commissioner’s camp office was inaugurated on Wednesday at the Malkajgiri Zonal Office premises near the City Civil Court in Secunderabad, a move aimed at improving police accessibility, administrative efficiency and public service delivery.
The camp office was inaugurated by Director General of Police C.V. Anand in the presence of Telangana Government Adviser P. Sudharshan Reddy and senior officials. According to police, the facility has been established to bring the police administration closer to citizens by decentralising key functions and reducing the need for residents to travel to the commissionerate headquarters at Neredmet for various services and grievance redressal.
“It will function as a vital link between the field-level officers and the top brass, ensuring that public grievances are addressed with greater speed and sensitivity,” said Mr. Anand.
Police officials said the camp office would serve as a supervisory and administrative hub for police stations under the Malkajgiri and Uppal zones. The facility is expected to streamline command and control functions across 11 police stations falling under the two zones, enhancing operational coordination and decision-making.
The initiative is also expected to improve administrative convenience for officers and facilitate more efficient monitoring of policing activities across the jurisdiction.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Malkajgiri Police Commissioner B. Sumathi, District Collector and District Magistrate T. Vinay Krishna Reddy, HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath, and Deputy Commissioners of Police from the Administration, Malkajgiri and Traffic wings, along with other senior officers.
