Amit Shah said the BJP would get more than 50 per cent votes in the upcoming Assembly election and reaffirmed that the party would form the next government in Bengal after Bihar.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is in West Bengal today. He addressed a programme in Barrackpore in North 24 Parganas during his visit.
Shah said that Mamata Banerjee and her government were opposing “Vande Mataram" to protect infiltrators. He said those who were martyred during the freedom struggle had “Vande Mataram" as their last words.
He said the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to celebrate 150 years of “Vande Mataram" across the country. He added that the slogan would rise from Bengal to Kashmir, from Kanyakumari and from Gujarat to Bengal.
Shah said the BJP would get more than 50 per cent votes in the upcoming Assembly election and reaffirmed that the party would form the next government in Bengal after Bihar.
He said opposing “Vande Mataram" was against Bengal’s heritage, the nation’s culture and identity, and asked whether people of Bengal would accept this. He urged people to uproot the Trinamool Congress government in the election.
