Man accused in 13 cases held with drugs worth Rs1 lakh

Khargone: A man was arrested on Wednesday with 10 grams of brown sugar valued at approximately Rs 1 lakh in Bistan police station area of Khargone district.The man, 41-year-old Rizwan Pathan, is a scrap dealer and resident of Sanjay Nagar in Khargone.Acting on a tip-off, Bistan police arrested Pathan from near Bhilat Dev Temple on Bistan-Awali Road while he was looking for customers to sell the narcotics.Bistan police station in-charge Gulab Singh Rawat said that Pathan was produced before a court from where he was sent into police remand for two days.He said that Pathan has a substantial criminal record, with 13 cases of offences related to theft, robbery, housebreaking, assault, communal disturbance and violations of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, registered against him.
