Man arrested for ‘assaulting’ patient’s attendant

The Machavaram police on Saturday (March 28, 2026) arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting the attendant of a patient at the Government General Hospital (GGH), Vijayawada. The accused, identified as Ameen, had allegedly lured the victim to his house at Metla Bazar in Krishnalanka and committed the offence on Friday (March 27), said Machavaram Circle Inspector D.V. Ramana. Based on the complaint, the accused was arrested and produced before the court, the CI said.
