Man arrested under Arms Act escapes from Khargone hospital

Times News NetworkKhargone: A man arrested under the Arms Act escaped from district hospital in Khargone on Saturday.Police said that the accused, Nawal Singh, was taken to district hospital for a medical examination under the escort of two constables.

Another person brought on a warrant was also accompanying the police team.“Nawal Singh was brought to the district hospital for a medical examination along with another accused. His handcuffs were removed for blood sample collection. During that time, one constable went to the laboratory with the sample while other was occupied with paperwork for the second accused. Taking advantage of the situation, he managed to escape,” Khargone Kotwali police station SHO Banwari Lal Mandloi said.Police immediately launched a search operation and formed multiple teams to track him down. Despite extensive efforts, the accused remained untraced until Sunday evening.“A detailed report regarding the incident has been submitted to superintendent of police. Search teams have been deployed and efforts are on to trace the accused at the earliest,” Mandloi said.
