In Malkangiri district, a 35-year-old man, Laxman Gouda, was critically injured after being attacked with an arrow by Bishwanath Gouda, a fellow villager. The incident occurred near Nayaguda panchayat. Laxman sustained severe abdominal injuries and was initially treated at Malkangiri hospital. Due to the severity of his condition, doctors referred him to SLNMCH, Koraput, for surgery.
Koraput: A 35-year-old man sustained critical injuries after being attacked with an arrow by a fellow villager at Nayaguda panchayat under Mathili police station limits in Malkangiri district on Monday evening.
The victim, Laxman Gouda, was initially rushed to the district headquarters hospital at Malkangiri, where doctors described his condition as critical.The arrow has pierced his abdomen leaving him seriously injured and requiring surgery. Hence, he was referred to Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital (SLNMCH), Koraput, said Ashish Kumar, a doctor at the hospital.According to sources, the incident occurred around 5 pm when Laxman was returning home. He was allegedly shot with an arrow by another villager, Bishwanath Gouda. Police said the motive behind the assault is yet to be ascertained. The accused is on the run.
