Man feared dead in the Krishna in Bagalkot

A man was feared dead when a tipper fell into the Krishna river near Kolhar village in Bagalkot district on Thursday.

Santosh Koti of Bennur village was the driver of the vehicle. He drove the vehicle above the parapet wall, while trying to overtake a car on the bridge. The vehicle fell face down in the river.

However, 28-year-old cleaner Sanju Mulagi was rescued by fishermen.

The police and Fire and Emergency Services personnel are looking for the driver.

Meanwhile, the car driver and commuters are absconding.
