Man hacked to death in Bengaluru, wife detained for questioning

A 39-year-old realtor was allegedly hacked to death by a group of armed men in Bengaluru’s Machohalli on Tuesday, over a row reportedly involving an illicit affair of the victim’s wife.

The deceased has been identified as Vinay Kumar, who had shifted to Machohalli from Kamakshipalya with his family, after a fight with the accused, Dhanjaya, his friend and an autorickshaw driver.

Investigation revealed that Kumar was married to Asha 10 years ago, and Dhananjaya was allegedly having an affair with Asha. Kumar had reportedly found out about their relationship.

Kumar was found dead near his house in Machohalli on Tuesday.

The Madanayakanahalli police rushed to the spot and after conducting an investigation, suspect that Dhananjaya and his associates were behind the murder.

The police have taken Asha into custody for questioning, and are also probing her possible role in the murder.
