Man killed as two-wheeler crashes into Metro pillar

Kochi: A 24-year-old man was killed after his two-wheeler crashed into a Metro pillar at Elamkulam early on Monday.The deceased was Sarath Sivakumar, a native of Adoor in Pathanamthitta.According to police, Sarath, an employee of an IT firm, was heading home from work when the accident occurred. Police suspect that Sarath lost control of the two-wheeler before crashing into the Metro pillar. He was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where he was declared brought dead.City police have registered a case. Police said that an investigation, including forensic examination, would be held to identify the exact cause of the accident. The body will be handed over to the kin after an autopsy, said police.
