Man sentenced to six months imprisonment for fatal road accident in Eluru

The Nuzvid Special Magistrate, Velpula Krishna Murthy, on Monday, sentenced Ankam Praveen Kumar for killing a person named Thomas in a road accident near Veeravalli village in Eluru district in December 2023.

The accused, Praveen Kumar, a native of Rajanagaram in East Godavari, drove the car negligently, hitting the road divider, jumping onto the other side of the National Highway, and colliding with another car. This resulted in the death of Thomas and injuries to two others while they were traveling toward Gannavaram Airport.

The Veeravalli police investigated the case.
