Bijnor: A 24-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by his brother-in-law following an argument over a financial dispute in the Kiratpur area of Bijnor district, police said on Saturday.The victim, Sachin Kumar, a gig worker from Rampur village under Kotwali Dehat police station limits, had an argument with his brother-in-law, Sheel Gange, 22, who used to work with him. Police said the dispute centred on the payment of a committee instalment and complaints that the accused was not working.After the argument, Sachin went to sleep on the roof of the house. Police said Sheel allegedly went upstairs and attacked him repeatedly with a knife, killing him on the spot.The accused did not flee after the incident and remained at his in-laws’ house. After receiving information, Kiratpur police reached the spot, took him into custody and sent the body for postmortem examination.Najibabad circle officer Akansha Gautam said, “Based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s mother, we have registered a case against Sheel Gange and his brother.”
