According to reports, the Uruguayan midfielder has had a recent fallout with Madrid boss Xabi Alonso and the Red Devils seek to exploit the same with a bid around the €80m mark.

Premier League side Manchester United are reportedly preparing a bid worth around €80m to sign Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde.

According to reports, the Uruguayan midfielder has had a recent fallout with Madrid boss Xabi Alonso and the Red Devils seek to exploit the same.

United overcame their home setback against a 10-man Everton at home by securing a win in London, lifting them to sixth place in the English top-flight provisionally with 21 points from 13 games after defeating Crystal Palace on Sunday.

United recovered from a goal down to claim all three points at Selhurst Park with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace. Joshua Zirkzee equalised after Jean-Philippe Mateta’s first-half penalty, and Mason Mount’s creative play helped Ruben Amorim’s team climb to sixth in the league.

Jean-Philippe Mateta initially had his penalty disallowed due to a double-touch but successfully converted the retake, giving Crystal Palace the lead going into half-time.

United’s comeback began in the second half when Joshua Zirkzee capitalised on a free-kick from Bruno Fernandes to equalise. Mason Mount then secured the lead for United three minutes after the hour mark, turning the game around for Amorim and his team. Bruno Fernandes assisted both of United’s goals, providing the ball for Mount’s decisive strike, executed to perfection.

Fernandes’ performance took his PL assists record to 56, one past the legendary United midfielder Paul Scholes. Fernandes is behind only Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney, and David Beckham in the assist tally at United. Former English internationals Beckham and Rooney have 88 and 93 assists respectively for the Red Devils in the English top-flight, while Welsh icon Giggs towers everyone with an astounding 162 assists to his name.
