Mango and seasonal forest produce festival in Belagavi from tomorrow

South Konkan Education Society will organise “Amba and Ranmeva Mahotsav 2026” (mango and seasonal forest produce festival) on the GSS/RPD College Campus in Belagavi from Friday to Saturday.

The three-day festival aims to celebrate and promote local mango varieties, seasonal forest produce (Ranmeva) and sustainable living practices while creating awareness about the rich biodiversity and food heritage of the region.

The festival will highlight lesser-known forest fruits, seasonal jungle vegetables, edible roots and tubers and traditional food knowledge that have been part of local communities for generations but are gradually disappearing from public awareness.

It will bring together farmers, fruit vendors, food entrepreneurs, students, educators, environmental enthusiasts, artisans and the general public on a common platform for interaction, learning and cultural exchange.

Stalls will be put up and talks and music and cultural performances will be organised. Pottery, handicrafts and traditional products will be showcased. Lectures will be held in the Dr. Ranade Seminar Hall.

It is being organised in association with Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-operative Society and Tarun Bharat.
