Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja's much-anticipated film 'Mass Jathara' was announced a while ago and fans have been waiting to see the actor back on the big screens. To the fans' disappointment, the makers officially announced on social media that the film will not be released on its originally planned day on August 27. Let's check more details regarding the film's new release date.
Delay due to industry-wide strikes
The makers called for the delay due to the ongoing industry-wide strikes and last-minute hurdles in post-production. On their X timeline, the team shared an update that read, "Due to recent industry-wide strikes and unforeseen delays in wrapping up crucial content, #MassJathara will not be arriving on its planned date of Aug 27th. But the team is working relentlessly to bring you the BIGGEST MASS FEAST in theatres soon! New release date will be announced shortly."

The news would be disappointing to the fans of Ravi Teja, who had been waiting for a return to the big screen after 'Mr Bahchan', which did not do well at the box office. The makers assured audiences that the film is being turned into a grand theatrical production and that the delay will only improve the final product.
About 'Mass Jathara'
Directed by Bhanu Bogavarapu, with an out-and-out mass entertainer template, 'Mass Jathara' will see Ravi Teja back in his energetic avatar. Actress Sreeleela plays the female lead, marking her second collaboration with her 'Dhamaka' co-star, while veteran actor Rajendra Prasad has been cast in a crucial supporting role.
So far, the makers have released two songs from the film. The first song, 'Tu Mera Lover,' was released on April 14, 2025. This peppy track is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo and the second single, 'Ole Ole,' is a high-energy mass number.
