Massive fire at Munoth industries near Tirupati airport; property worth crores gutted

TIRUPATI: A massive fire broke out at Munoth Industries, located in the electronics manufacturing cluster near Tirupati airport, on Thursday morning. Munoth Industries produces lithium-ion cells for the consumer electronics segment. No casualties were reported, as there were no workers present at the plant at the time of the fire. However, property worth crores of rupees was destroyed. After receiving an alert from locals, the police, revenue department officials, and fire services personnel rushed to the site and brought the blaze under control with the help of six fire tenders. Officials are currently assessing the extent of the property loss and investigating the cause of the fire.
