Also, Brandon Aiyuk shares a strong connection with Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels. The two played together at Arizona State during the 2019 season before taking different paths to the NFL. Daniels has since emerged as one of the league's young stars, making Washington an attractive destination for any receiver.

The Washington Commanders also employ general manager Adam Peters, who spent years in San Francisco's front office and helped build the roster that selected Aiyuk in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
