CGC University Mohali has launched MBA Plus, an industry-integrated, mentor-driven leadership programme that incorporates sustained corporate mentorship and enterprise engagement into postgraduate management education.
The programme was unveiled at Pride Plaza Hotel, Aerocity, in the presence of senior industry leaders who will mentor students under its structured leadership framework.The unveiling ceremony was led by Founder-Chancellor Sardar Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, along with Managing Director Arsh Dhaliwal, Executive Vice-President Dr Sushil Prashar, and HR Success Talk CEO Govind Negi, whose organisation is the industry collaboration partner for the initiative. The gathering marked the beginning of a mentor-led academic framework that seeks to bring boardroom insight, enterprise challenges, and leadership thinking directly into the MBA learning journey.Mentorship-driven learning frameworkMBA Plus has been conceptualised to move beyond the conventional boundaries of classroom learning by creating a continuous interface between academia and industry. Within the programme, one industry leader mentors a cohort of 15 students each semester, ensuring close engagement and meaningful guidance.
Over the two year journey, every student will be mentored by four different industry leaders, gaining diverse perspectives from across the corporate landscape.

At the centre of the programme is the Executive Mentorship Council, under which each semester students are introduced to senior industry mentors who guide small cohorts through boardroom discussions, strategic simulations, and live case analysis.Complementing this engagement is Live Enterprise Interaction, where students work on real business challenges, including strategy formulation, technology transformation, market expansion, financial analysis, and operational optimisation.
The programme further introduces an Applied Case and Decision Laboratory, enabling students to sharpen judgement and decision-making ability through contemporary business simulations, negotiation exercises, and strategy formulation in time sensitive scenarios.In addition, MBA Plus incorporates long-duration internships, consulting assignments, and sponsored industry projects, ensuring that students remain closely connected with corporate realities even before graduation.Leaders highlight industry–academia collaborationDuring the programme unveiling ceremony, Sardar Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal reflected on the evolving role of higher education in preparing young professionals for complex organisational environments.
