MD drug factory busted, Rs 4 crore haul seized ; 2 held

Indore: Mandsaur police on Tuesday busted an illegal MD drug manufacturing unit operating from a farmhouse near Bazkhedi village, and seized around 14 kg of the synthetic narcotic valued at Rs 4 crore in the international market.Acting on a tip-off, a team from Nai Abadi police station raided a room-like structure located amid agricultural fields near Bazkhedi village and uncovered what investigators suspect was a clandestine unit producing mephedrone.DIG Nimish Agarwal said that two persons including Sadaqat Khan and Arif were arrested. Several chemicals were seized from the site. Police also recovered trays used to crystallise and dry the substances during the manufacturing process.
