The Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department has brought out a G.O. obliterating the need for a MBBS graduate to obtain an NoC from States where they studied before beginning their practice in Andhra Pradesh.

According to G.O. Ms. No. 81, issued by Health Secretary Saurabh Gaur on Thursday, any person possessing a recognised medical qualification and holding a valid registration with any State Medical Council or Union Territory Medical Council in India shall be permitted to practice in the State.

Such graduates need not get a separate registration from the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council (APMC) solely for the purpose of practice in Andhra Pradesh or the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the State Medical Council or Union Territory Medical Council where they are registered.

The G.O. has been issued as part of the Compliance Reduction and Deregulation Phase-II Reforms and to facilitate ease of practice for qualified medical practitioners. The notification will come into effect immediately.
