A research workshop held at Moulana Hospital, Perinthalmanna, on Saturday called upon medical students and doctors to explore the immense potential of interdisciplinary research in the medical field.
Moulana Institutional Ethical Committee (MIEC) organised the workshop for doctors and medical students on ‘Ethics in multidisciplinary healthcare research’. Moulana Hospital superintendent K.A. Seethi inaugurated the workshop. MIEC chairman V. Abdul Jaleel presided.
Asma Raheem, head of Community Medicine at Government Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode; Mohammed Subair, chief innovative officer of Manipal Academy of Higher Education; Abdul Malik Peedikakkal, Professor at King Fahad University of Petroleum and Chemicals, Saudi Arabia; and K.T. Mohammed Salim, Professor from Manipal, were among those who led the workshop.
Moulana Pharmacy College Vice Principal and MIEC member P.P. Naseef, Prof. C.A. Mansoor of Sultan Qaboos Hospital, Oman, and Moulana Hospital chief executive officer P.C. Ramdas addressed the workshop.
