Actor Meenakshi Chaudhary is all set to step into Bollywood with the much-awaited sequel 'Bhagam Bhag 2,' which will see her sharing screen space with Bollywood star Akshay Kumar. Chaudhary has been part of several high-profile projects across Telugu and Tamil cinema.
Her filmography includes titles like 'Lucky Bhaskar,' 'Guntur Kaaram,' and 'The Greatest Of All Time'.
Speculation about her involvement in the sequel had been circulating for a while and the actor has now confirmed the news.
Meenakshi Chaudhary says it came at the perfect time
Speaking about her Hindi debut during a recent conversation with Variety India, Meenakshi revealed that the film arrived at a very important moment in her career and said she had been waiting for a script that matched her expectations.
"I feel like it came at a time when I was looking for something exactly like this. I was looking for scripts that families would enjoy, and having seen the first part when I was younger, I loved it.
So getting to be a part of this feels like it arrived at the perfect time when I was searching for something like this.” The actor also hinted that she was being selective about the projects she wanted to take up at this stage of her career.
Why did the script instantly connect with her?
Meenakshi explained that several projects had come her way earlier. However, many of them did not connect with her in terms of storytelling. “And that is exactly how it happened, because a lot of the other projects that came to me story-wise were not something I was very keen on. When this came along, it just felt like pure laughter. I feel like no matter what age you are or what language you come from, this storyline and character will connect with you.
You are going to enjoy it regardless of the language you watch it in.”
'Vrushakarma' glimpse creates buzz
Meanwhile, Meenakshi is also gearing up for another ambitious project. She will be seen alongside Naga Chaitanya in the upcoming film 'Vrushakarma'. Recently, the makers released a gripping glimpse video that offered audiences their first proper look at the film. The teaser quickly sparked curiosity among fans. Directed by Karthik Dandu, who earlier helmed 'Virupaksha,' the film promises a unique mix of mythology, horror, and suspense and the glimpse suggests a dark and atmospheric narrative that blends supernatural elements with intense storytelling.
