Messi statue to be reinstalled at Eco Park, says minister

Kolkata: The 70-foot Lionel Messi statue, dismantled and removed from its pedestal in Lake Town on VIP Road over safety concerns, will be reinstalled at Eco Park in New Town, Bidhannagar MLA and health minister Sharadwat Mukherjee said after a meeting with civic officials at the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation headquarters on Thursday.

The statue is currently being stored at a PWD warehouse in Baguiati.
