New Delhi: Meta has finally unveiled its latest version of its Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 smart glasses for people who wear prescription glasses. Meta has also stated that the latest models are especially designed for everyday use and to support a wider range of prescription lenses.

The latest lineup unveils two styles, which include: Blayzer with the rectangular design and Scriber, which has a more rounded look. Both come in multiple sizes, and they also include adjustable elements like nose pads and temple tips to better fit different face shapes. Along with the latest glasses, Meta has also added fresh colors and lens options to its existing Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta frames.

Meta has also officially announced AI features like hands-free nutrition tracking and WhatsApp summaries to reduce the need to use the device. These models are available for pre-order in the US starting at $499 (roughly Rs 46,592), with the wider availability expected at optical stores and select international markets from April 14.

Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics (Gen 2) and Ray-Ban Scriber Optics (Gen 2) glasses come with overextension hinges, interchangeable nose pads, and optician-adjustable temple tips, so they are adaptable for users with unique face shapes for the tailored fit.

The users can add prescription lenses to the existing Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, but the latest versions are designed specifically for prescription use. Meta is also adding the latest frame colors and lens options for its Oakley Meta Vanguard and HSTN models to offer a more vivid and high-contrast viewing experience.

The lineup also includes Prizm Dark Golf lenses, and for the first time, the Oakley Meta Vanguard will support Prizm Transitions lenses that adjust to the different lighting conditions for outdoor use.

The users can log meals by using voice commands or photos, with the Meta AI extracting key details and building the personalized food log over time. They have also introduced WhatsApp summaries, enabling users to get quick updates on chats or ask for specific details using voice.

These interactions are processed on the device and remain end-to-end encrypted. Other upgrades include Neural Handwriting for replying to messages. It enables users to write with their fingers on any surface to reply to messages silently and discreetly.
