Talking about this film with Cinema Express, director Kishore said, “When it comes to a middle-class family, we usually see love stories or action films mixed with love and conflict. But we have only recently seen a Tamil film that interestingly portrays real middle-class life.

Although there are many such films in Malayalam, "There was a shortage of this type of cinema in Tamil. "Middle Class" is an attempt to fill that void, he said.
