Bhopal: A 34-year-old dairy operator died allegedly after his motorcycle met with an accident on the Gyarah Meel Bridge under Misrod police station limits late on Sunday night. Police are investigating whether the victim was hit by an unidentified vehicle or lost control of his motorcycle and fell.The deceased was identified as Rahul Yadav, 34, a native of Mandkasia village in Raisen district, who operated a dairy business and personally delivered milk.According to police, the accident occurred at around 10.30 pm on the Gyarah Meel Bridge. Rahul was found lying unconscious on the road beside his damaged motorcycle after police received information about the incident. He was rushed to AIIMS Bhopal in an ambulance, where doctors declared him dead during treatment.Police said Rahul’s family was informed after police recovered his Aadhaar card and contacted relatives using a phone number found on his mobile phone. The family reached the hospital soon afterwards.Police said no CCTV cameras were installed near the accident spot, making it difficult to immediately establish the sequence of events.Police said there is a road cut near the bridge and suspect the accident may have occurred while the victim was attempting to cross or enter the road from the wrong side. However, they are also probing the possibility that an unidentified vehicle hit the motorcycle before fleeing the scene. The body was sent for post-mortem examination, and further investigation is underway.
