Minister of Industries and Commerce T.G. Bharath has invited the industrialists to invest in Andhra Pradesh and utilise the incentives given by the State government.
The Minister was speaking at a meeting with industrialists on Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) at a private function hall here on Monday (September 08, 2025). He said the State government had managed to bring confidence among the investors in the past 15 months. “The industrialists have faced tough times during the previous government and they are now being provided a conducive atmosphere to come to the State,” he said.
Mr. Bharath said that the government would clear ₹5,000 crore to ₹6,000 crore incentives due to industries in the next two months and will also chalk a plan to ensure that incentives are released promptly to create confidence among industrialists.
He said that the government introduced single window system to help industrialists avoid the tedious process of going from pillar to post for clearances and permissions. “We urge industrialists to give feedback on the services extended by the government during the EoDB survey of the Central government in order to make the State a top spot,” he said.
Mr. Bharath said that ArcelorMittal had in 2018 announced to invest in Odisha but Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh had taken the initiative to talk and motivate them to move to Andhra Pradesh. “Not just in EoDB, A.P. is moving ahead in Speed of Doing Business and the results are visible now,” he said.
Nandyal Collector Rajakumari Ganiya said that there is scope for setting up of food processing centres in the district and asked industrialists to invest in the sector. “The administration will extend all possible cooperation for the industrialists investing in the district,” she said.
Kurnool Collector P. Ranjith Basha said that 10,000 acres land is available at Mega Industrial Hub at Orvakal and 80 per cent of works to bring water from Muchumarri to the Hub have been completed. The Centre is also taking steps to lay a railway line to the industrial hub, he added.
