Ministers launch compound wall works to boost Suryalanka Beach tourism

Development works under Swadesh Darshini 2.0 project at Suryalanka Beach in Bapatla district gathered momentum on Tuesday as Ministers Kandula Durgesh (Tourism) and Anagani Satya Prasad (Revenue) laid the foundation stone for the construction of a compound wall to be taken up through the Panchayat Raj department.

The foundation stone-laying ceremony was held at Suryalanka Beach as part of the ongoing infrastructure enhancement initiatives aimed at boosting tourism under Swadesh Darshini 2.0 programme. The proposed compound wall is expected to strengthen infrastructure and improve facilities at the popular coastal tourist destination.

District Collector V. Vinod Kumar, Bapatla MLA Vegesana Narendra Varma Raju, State Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Balaji, and District Superintendent of Police (SP) B. Umamaheshwar participated in the programme.

Officials said the development works being taken up under Swadesh Darshini 2.0 are aimed at improving tourism infrastructure and enhancing visitor experience at Suryalanka Beach, one of the major tourist attractions in the district.
