A woman has been taken into custody by the Miyapur police for allegedly murdering her husband with the help of her lover. She had approached the police claiming that he had gone missing about seven months ago.
The case was initially registered as a missing person complaint in November 2025. However, the investigation took a dramatic turn after police allegedly discovered that the woman was involved in her husband’s disappearance.
Upon examination of CCTV footage and the woman’s call detail records, investigators allegedly found that she and her alleged lover had conspired to kill the victim, identified as Venkatesh.
Police suspect the duo transported the body to the State border near Maharashtra after the murder and buried it in an attempt to destroy evidence.
During the course of the investigation, the Miyapur police exhumed the body and confirmed its identity as that of the victim.
During questioning, the woman allegedly confessed to murdering her husband as he had become an obstacle to her relationship with her lover. Police are yet to release a statement about the case.
