Missing Youth's Mutilated Body Found Near Kanchi River, Ranchi; Illicit Relationship Suspected

Ranchi: The mutilated body of a missing youth, Harihar Mahto (25), was recovered from near the Kanchi river on the fringes of Domadih village under the Sonahatu police station limits on Sunday, police said.Superintendent of police (Rural) Praveen Pushkar said, “A couple has been detained for interrogation. Acting on the information provided by them, Mahto’s headless body was found at the spot and later, the severed head was found among the bushes a km away. Illicit relationship is likely to be the cause behind the brutal murder.”Mahto, a resident of Domadih village in Sonahatu block, was missing from home since January 31.
