A group of farmers in Jamkhandi in Bagalkot district of Karnataka is trying to organise themselves into a group that sells processed agriculture produce to get better prices for Emmer wheat (known as khapli) growers.

The initiative, titled ‘Mission Khapli’, aims to get better prices by connecting directly with customers. They are also taking measures like cleaning, grading and basic processing to add value to the product.
