MLA lays foundation stone for road construction work

A 2-km stretch of mud road from behind the City Municipal Council’s office to Don Basco School on Yadgir-Chittapur Main Road will soon have a tar road.

Yadgir MLA Channareddy Patil Tunnur laid the foundation stone for the construction of the tar road on Monday.

The project will come up at a cost of ₹1.20 crore under grants from the Kalyan Karnataka Regional Development Board (KKRDB).

He advised the officers concerned and the contractors to complete the work with quality within the stipulated period.

“This is a shortcut and more convenient road to reach the main road instead of going through the Degree College to reach the district administrative building premises and the District Court. Officers have placed a request for another ₹60 lakh for the project and it will be provided,” he said.
