Mohanlal shares 'Kireedam' 4K trailer; Sibi Malayil's classic returns in restored glory; Fans say, 'It's Beautifully restored'
Mohanlal has reignited nostalgia among cinema lovers by unveiling the 4K trailer of 'Kireedam' which is one of the most celebrated films in Malayalam cinema history.The 'Drishyam' actor shared the restored trailer on Twitter along with a simple caption that read, "Kireedam 4k Official Trailer."
The newly released trailer presents Kireedam in a significantly upgraded format.
The restoration has been completed using an original 35mm film source. The project also incorporates Dolby Atmos sound.

The story that made history
Released in 1989, 'Kireedam' tells the story of Sethu, a young man who dreams of becoming a police officer and fulfilling his father's aspirations. However, a single incident changes the course of his life. It pushes him into circumstances he never expected.
Directed by Sibi Malayil and written by A. K. Lohithadas, 'Kireedam' featured a magnificent cast which was led by Mohanlal, Thilakan and Parvathy Jayaram. The supporting cast included Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Murali, Sreenath, Cochin Haneefa, Jagathy Sreekumar, Jagadish, Mamukkoya, Oduvil Unnikrishnan and Maniyanpilla Raju.The film's music was composed by Johnson, whose work added to its emotional impact. Upon its release in July 1989, 'Kireedam' became a major commercial success and is still considered as one of the best emotional dramas in Mollywood with a tragic ending. There was also a second part to the film, titled 'Chenkol'.On the other hand, Mohanlal was recently seen in the mystery drama 'Drishyam 4' which is now streaming on OTT.
