Mohit Duseja joins ‘Yeh Fitoor Tera’ as Gen Z ‘Krish’ after ‘Naagin 7’ stint

Actor Mohit Duseja, last seen as Kapil in Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 7, has now joined Television’ upcoming romance drama Yeh Fitoor Tera. The show, produced by Ved Raj, stars Ishaan Dhawan and Debchandrima Singha Roy in lead roles.Duseja will play Krish, the heroine’s brother. Describing the role, he says: “So my character this time is a full-blown Gen Z tornado — WhatsApp lingo, 2AM slang, and energy levels that even my coffee can’t match. He’s that one guy in the family who’ll turn a dull dinner into a roast battle, then turn around and become a human shield for his sister. I can’t spill all the beans yet, but let’s just say love, drama, and a lot of ‘bro-code’ are definitely in his chat history.

For Duseja, the role feels personal: “Naagin gave me love, but this role gave me, ME. I’ve always been that extra, sassy, over-enthusiastic person in the room, so finally I get to live that Gen Z chaos on-screen — minus the screen time warning from my mom.”The actor says he picks roles that “feel like mirrors” He adds, “I chase roles that feel like mirrors because connection is the point of the craft. When the audience sees themselves in a character — in the quiet panic, the stubborn hope, the messy love — the performance stops being pretend and starts being shared truth.

That instant of ‘me too’ from a dark theater is electric.”“Relatable roles strip away spectacle and ask for honesty. For me as an actor, that honesty is the hardest, most rewarding part — it’s where they stop acting and start communing.”Yeh Fitoor Tera is a romance drama that follows Soumya, a reserved young woman from a small town, as she adjusts to co-ed college life. Debchandrima Singha Roy plays Soumya, while Ishaan Dhawan plays Jeet, a confident young man with emotional layers. Veteran actor Aman Verma has also joined the cast.Duseja first caught public attention as a fan-favourite contestant on Love School Season 3. He later moved to fiction with shows like Hum Rahe Na Rahe Hum, Who’s Your Daddy, Ragini MMS Returns Season 2, and Chikoo Ki Mummy Durr Kei.“To join a show with this kind of story and a role audience will connect to is humbling,” Duseja says. “The makers have always been the gold standard, and to now be part of that starcast is something I’ll never take for granted. Ready to give it everything I’ve got. I’m pinching myself. Can’t wait for you all to see what we’re cooking.”
