Mohit Suri has launched two newcomers - Ahaan Panday and Aneed Padda with 'Saiyaara'. The film has just released in theatres today and created a huge buzz. It is expected to cross Rs 12-13 crore at the box office on the opening day which is commendable for film with debutants.
While the makers dropped songs of the film which striked a chord, Mohit was seen promoting the movie. However, one didn't see Ahaan or Aneet promoting their film or doing any interviews.Suri has now revealed the reason for it and said during a chat with Just Too Filmy, "It was an idea that collectively came forward. My producer Akshaye Widhani and, of course, Aditya Chopra, who has mentored us through this thing, suggested that until the two actors don’t have anything behind them to talk about, the conversation will be filled with questions like ‘Who is the prankster on the set?’ or ‘How is it to work with Mohit Suri?’ It’s all redundant stuff, and I don’t think anyone has any interest in listening to all that.
”Recalling what happened with Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur during 'Aashiqui 2', Mohit said, "I remember when I was doing Aashiqui 2, and while we were shooting in Goa, people were recognising me but had no idea about Shraddha or Aditya. Later near the release of the film, we had to catch a flight back from Chandigarh and while we were in the air, the first show of the movie broke out. Upon landing I saw Shraddha and Aditya getting mobbed by the flight crew, fans and everyone around them, and the way they treated them after was way different.
They weren’t being praised for their looks, not how we pushed them, but what the audience saw and connected with.”Ahaan and Aneet are now getting all the praise for their film, not just from the audience but even industry insiders. As 'Hum Tum' director Kunal Kohli praised them, he also urged them to keep their freshness always and not get into the whole game of entourage and more. He said, "#Saiyaara is a BLOCKBUSTER #AdiChopra has done it again. Conviction of a producer to back a director. Films don’t need stars. Films create stars. #MohitSuri has made a brilliant film. Don’t miss this one guys. #AhaanPanday #AneetPadda instant stardom is yours. Now please don’t get entourages & mess it up.
Be the change. Be the breath of fresh air you are."
