Kochi: With IMD issuing a yellow alert in six districts only till Wednesday, the southwest monsoon is expected to weaken again in Kerala.Districts from Malappuram to Kasargod will be on yellow alert on Tuesday.
Kannur, Kasaragod, Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Kottayam and Alappuzha will be on yellow alert on Wednesday.
No alert has been issued for any district from Thursday onwards.On Monday, the maximum rainfall recorded was 3cm till 5.30pm at Chemberi in Kannur and Urumi in Kozhikode.Meanwhile, strong surface winds with speed occasionally reaching 40-50kmph is likely to prevail over Kerala and Lakshadweep till Wednesday.
