Rajasthan's first BS-VI compliant refinery at Pachpadra is set for inauguration by the Prime Minister on July 4

JAISALMER: Rajasthan's first BS-VI compliant HPPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL) at Pachpadra in Balotra district is ready for commissioning, with Prime Minister scheduled to inaugurate the mega project on July 4.During the visit, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for development projects worth more than Rs 1.01 lakh crore. In addition, appointment letters will be distributed to over 53,000 newly selected candidates for various government servicesFor security reasons, there will be no large public rally during the Prime Minister's visit this time. Instead, a small inauguration ceremony will be held inside the refinery premises.

Entry to the event will be restricted to a limited number of invitees, and around 5,000 people are expected to be present at the venue.The refinery is widely expected to transform Rajasthan's industrial landscape and significantly boost economic growth in the state.According to the proposed schedule, the Prime Minister is expected to inaugurate the refinery at around 12pm and remain at the venue for nearly two hours before departing for at around 2pm.

However, the official minute-to-minute itinerary has not yet been released.With the Prime Minister's visit approaching, security agencies and the district administration have completed almost all preparations.Extensive micro-level security planning has been undertaken for the refinery and surrounding areas, while police and intelligence agencies remain on high alert. Hoardings and cut-outs of the Prime Minister have also been installed around the refinery premises.Senior BJP leader visited Pachpadra on Thursday to review preparations and hold meetings with party workers. Rajasthan chief minister is scheduled to visit the refinery on Thursday for the final review of arrangements, having earlier assessed preparations with officials on June 28.The state government also plans to promote environmental conservation during the inauguration ceremony. The CM, ministers, MLAs and senior administrative officials are expected to participate in a bicycle rally from Pachpadra to the HRRL refinery to spread the message of fuel conservation and environmental protection.Separate green parking facilities for electric vehicles and bicycles have also been created at the venue.As part of the environmental initiative linked to the Prime Minister's visit, the district administration has set a target of planting 2.51 lakh saplings across the district.Around 500 saplings will be planted in every Gram Panchayat, while plantation drives will also be carried out in urban local bodies, schools, government offices, public places, Panchayat premises and grazing lands.

Every sapling will be geo-tagged to ensure proper monitoring and maintenance.Officials are working round the clock at the refinery premises as only two days remain before the inauguration ceremony. Security agencies, police and civil administration are coordinating closely to ensure the event is conducted smoothly.For security reasons, entry to the venue will be restricted, with around 5,000 people expected to attend the event.

To enable wider public participation, the programme will be telecast live on LED screens at the district headquarters as well as in towns and villages across the district.Meanwhile, the district administration has declared the area surrounding the refinery a No-Fly Zone in view of the Prime Minister's visit.District magistrate and collector Sushil Kumar Yadav has issued an order prohibiting all unauthorized aerial activities over and around the programme venue during the event.

The restrictions include the operation of drones, UAVs, paragliders, hot air balloons, microlight aircraft and all other flying devices without prior authorization.The administration stated that the decision has been taken to ensure the Prime Minister's security and maintain law and order. Strict legal action will be taken against anyone found violating the restrictions. Security agencies and administrative officials have been instructed to enforce the order effectively.The district administration has appealed to the public, drone operators, photographers and all concerned organisations to strictly comply with the restrictions and avoid any unauthorized aerial activity during the programme. Officials emphasized that all departments and security agencies are working in close coordination to ensure the Prime Minister's visit is conducted peacefully, safely and successfully.
