Two off-road racing drivers, Janey Lee and Kylie Marie Walton, are in hospital after a serious accident during practice in California. The incident happened earlier this week while they were preparing for the San Felipe 250, a major off-road race in Mexico.

Their vehicle suddenly caught fire, leaving both women badly injured.The situation turned critical when Lee got trapped inside the burning truck. Walton acted quickly and managed to free her, likely saving her life. Both were later taken away by helicopter for urgent treatment. The news has shocked the motorsport community, especially as both drivers had recently stepped into racing after working as promotional models.

Lee’s husband, Eric Lee, shared details of the accident through an emotional video online. Speaking carefully while reading from his phone, he said, “Tuesday at approximately 11am, Janey and Kylie were involved in an accident while pre-running the San Felipe 250. The car caught fire under Janey’s seat and her seatbelts were not released.”He added, “At that point she was fully engulfed in flames, Kylie had to reach in and release the seatbelt for her.”

His voice broke as he explained how close the situation was to turning fatal.Eric made it clear that Walton’s quick action made the difference. He said, “Kylie saved Janey’s life. As a result, Kylie’s hands were burnt.” He also shared that Lee suffered serious burns on her legs and shoulder and will need multiple surgeries. “Her left leg is burned pretty bad,” he explained, adding that skin grafting will be required.Walton is also expected to undergo minor surgery for her hands. Despite the pain, both women are said to be in good spirits. Eric said, “She’s a trooper, and she’s in good spirits… The girls are tough. They really are.”The accident happened just days before the race, which is part of the SCORE World Desert Championship. According to SCORE International, both drivers are stable and receiving proper medical care. They were first treated locally before being moved to the United States for further treatment.Support has been pouring in from fans and the racing community.
