 Girls outshine boys in Class 12 exams once again

Bhopal:Girls outperformed boys in the Higher Secondary Second Examination (2026) results, the Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh (MPBSE), announced on Friday.The board published results for both regular and private candidates with girls recording higher pass percentages across the board.

Among regular students, 62.31% of female candidates cleared the exam compared with 57.36% of their male counterparts.Of the 142,468 regular candidates registered statewide, 142,467 took the examination and 84,871 were declared passed.Private candidates also appeared for the exam in substantial numbers. Of the 33,334 private students who registered, 33,315 appeared, and 14,024 passed, yielding an overall pass rate of 42.10%.

Female private candidates achieved a pass rate of 44.70%, outpacing male private candidates, whose pass percentage stood at 40.53%.The MPBSE has made the full results available on its official portal, mpbse.mponline.gov.in, where students can check individual scores and download mark sheets. Education officials noted the steady participation rates and urged students and parents to use the online platform for revaluation and other post-result services, if required.

The board is expected to release further details about toppers, subject-wise performance, and revaluation procedures in the coming days. Students are advised to keep their roll numbers and admit cards handy when accessing the result portal to avoid delays.
