The woman doctor alleged that during treatment, two men accompanying the patient began misbehaving with the medical staff.

The incident took place on Thursday night at Bundelkhand Medical College Hospital.
In a shocking incident, a woman doctor of Bundelkhand Medical College (BMC) in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar claimed that a BJP youth wing leader molested her inside the college campus and threatened to kill her.
Police have registered an FIR against the accused, identified as Anil Srivastava, a member of the BJP Yuva Morcha state executive committee, and his associate under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
According to the complaint, the incident took place around 2 am on Thursday when a female patient was brought to the emergency department of Bundelkhand Medical College Hospital for treatment. Hospital staff alleged that repeated phone calls were made even before the patient arrived regarding her treatment, according to several news reports.
The woman doctor alleged that during treatment, two men accompanying the patient began misbehaving with the medical staff. When she objected, Srivastava, also known as Anil Pipra, allegedly attempted to touch her inappropriately and later threatened to shoot her after she stepped outside the hospital premises. Nursing staff members have also accused the two men of misbehaviour and intimidation during the incident.
“A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita based on the complaint of the female doctor. Considering the seriousness of the allegations, efforts are being made to arrest both accused at the earliest," Additional Superintendent of Police Narendra Solanki said as quoted by NDTV.
Incident Triggers Protests
Meanwhile, the incident triggered protests across the medical college, with junior doctors, interns, nursing staff and other healthcare workers suspending work and blocking the hospital entrance. Medical services were affected for several hours as patients and attendants faced inconvenience.
Protesting doctors alleged that despite informing the police and hospital administration immediately after the incident, the accused managed to leave the hospital before action could be taken. They claimed security personnel escorted the patient and those accompanying her out of the premises before police intervention.
Doctors said the incident had raised serious concerns over the safety of healthcare workers, particularly women doctors on night duty.
Following assurances from senior police and district officials, the protest was temporarily withdrawn. However, the Madhya Pradesh Junior Doctors Association (JUDA) warned that if the accused are not arrested within 24 hours, junior doctors across the state will launch a statewide work boycott.
Security has since been tightened at the medical college campus as police continue their search for the accused.
