MUMBAI: A fire broke out in a residential high-rise in Mumbai's Borivali West area on Thursday afternoon, triggering panic among residents.According to officials, the blaze erupted around 2.18 pm at Dattani Tower, a ground-plus-12-storey building on Kora Kendra Road. The fire is currently confined to the seventh and eighth floors of the building.
Thick smoke was seen billowing from the affected floors, leading to smoke-logging in parts of the tower. Fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and began evacuation and firefighting operations immediately.Authorities said no casualties have been reported so far. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
