After 48 hours of battering rain that had already slowed local services across the network, commuters were hoping Friday’s dry spell would mean a return to normalcy. Instead, a fresh technical failure — unrelated to weather — disrupted both up and down lines on the Western Railway corridor, leaving platforms packed and tempers frayed. Railway staff are working to restore full services, but no official timeline has been given.
