Murdered girl’s mother gets bail by local court in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Advocate Priyanka, 39, mother of five-and-a-half-year-old Vennela, was granted bail by a local court Thursday.Vennela was killed on March 24 after she spilled ice cream in the car while returning home from Hoskote along with Priyanka and her partner, Mohan. Mohan allegedly hit her in the stomach and smothered her to death.According to sources, the court granted bail to Priyanka as there is no direct involvement by her in the

. However, a senior police officer supervising the investigation said, “We are yet to receive the bail order copy. Once we get it, we will know on what grounds the bail has been granted to her.”An advocate named Prasanna, representing Priyanka, argued the case in the court.
