A music conference was held on February 28, bringing together artists, music professionals and government representatives to discuss the development of the music ecosystem in Arunachal Pradesh and the wider Northeast.
The programme included conference sessions, workshops and a live performance segment featuring emerging artists. Among those present were Tourism, Education and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona and Art & Culture Minister Dasanglu Pul. Industry professionals who participated in the discussions included Dhruvank Vaidya of Spotify and Piyapong Muenprasertdee. Sessions during the day covered topics such as artist and tour management, music publishing, digital distribution and the role of streaming platforms.
Representatives from organisations including Believe Music, The Hello Group and Level House also took part in the discussions. The programme also featured workshops on guitar maintenance and visual storytelling in music, followed by performances by artists from Arunachal Pradesh and the Northeast. The event, titled Just Music – Itanagar Edition 2026, was organised by Redcoats Society and concluded with a panel discussion on challenges and opportunities in strengthening the region’s music ecosystem.
