MVA: Loan waiver a fraud, declare drought

Mumbai: Boycotting govt’s customary tea party on the eve of the monsoon session, MVA alleged that the loan waiver scheme is fraudulent and sought that farmers’ 7/12 land extracts be cleared.

It also accused govt of taking “56% commission” from projects and demanded that it answer every issue raised by the opposition.It said govt has failed to provide satisfactory answers on drought, farmers’ issues, increasing atrocities on women, deteriorating law and order, and the growing drug network in the state. “The state is facing a drought crisis.
