Ryan Garcia and Ilia Topuria are going back and forth again, and this time the trash talk has become even more personal. The two combat sports stars exchanged sharp messages on X after Topuria spoke about a possible boxing fight with Garcia in the future.

What started as a simple fight discussion quickly turned into a heated social media battle. The tension picked up after Ilia Topuria, who is preparing for his UFC lightweight title fight against Justin Gaethje at UFC White House next month, said he would love to test himself in boxing one day. During an interview with ABC, the UFC champion mentioned Ryan Garcia as a dream opponent and confidently said he believed he could stop the boxer before the fight reached the judges.

Garcia did not like those comments. The American boxer answered by saying Topuria should stay focused on MMA because boxing is a completely different sport. Soon after, both fighters started trading direct shots online, with Topuria bringing up Garcia’s past failed drug-test controversy.

Ryan Garcia first responded on X by pushing back against Topuria’s comments about performance-enhancing drugs. Garcia wrote:“Aren’t MMA fighters notorious for all being on the juice? Shut your a** up.

Now that you can’t stop talking, we can really do this after my fight in September, just to FLATLINE you.”Topuria answered quickly and took another shot at Garcia’s failed drug-test issue. The UFC star wrote:“You tested positive and still talk about ‘flatlining’ people. That confidence is artificial. The world already saw what you needed to win. Juice in your a**.”Garcia then fired back again and turned the conversation toward Topuria’s reported relationship situation. He replied:“Yeah, you are a weirdo. Do your research and don’t talk about anything in my a**, weirdo.

You need a girlfriend again, you acting real strange.”The exchange quickly spread across social media, with fans from both boxing and MMA reacting to the comments. Many supporters believe the rivalry could eventually lead to a real crossover boxing match if both fighters stay interested.Topuria has openly said boxing is something he seriously wants to explore later in his career. Speaking to ABC, he explained that he only wants to face a major name if he steps into the boxing ring.“Boxing is definitely something where I say, ‘Wow, I’d love to do that,’ but I’d love to do it with someone big, someone real with an established name.”After Garcia’s name was mentioned, Topuria added: “That would be a huge fight, I’d love it. I see a fight like Ryan Garcia being very comfortable for me. I think I would break him long before it gets to the judges’ decision.” According to MMA Junkie, Topuria remains very confident about his chances if the matchup ever becomes official.
